A well stocked pantry, should always include: Dry Staples, which are Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, Rice, Cornmeal, Pasta, Bread Crumbs, Salt, Pepper, and Brown Sugar. These should be stored in airtight containers to prevent moisture.  Also keep Onions, Potato's and Garlic Powder.

This information, has been passed down, from generation to generation, in many different forms, and may very, from culture to culture, however the above is a very good start,  for any pantry.

Even when your on a tight budget, as long as you keep these items in your pantry, youll be able to make a meal. It may not be exactly what you want but you surely won't go hungry.

Here are a few additional Pantry items:
Canned Veggies (Corn, Peas, Carrots or Green Beans) Canned Tomato Sauce or Paste, Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Salad Dressing's (your families favorite's) and Broth or Bouillon Cubes (both chicken and beef)
